The 2017 Emmys was one stunning night! For night only; Microsoft Theater was illuminated by the illustrious rainbow of elegance, beauty & talent currently flowing throughout Hollywood. Celebrities paved the red carpet with some eye dazzling displays of art & allure. They came out in numbers, & everywhere you turned there was a ensemble snatching you into attention. There were also some very notable wins of the night that marked Hollywood’s oncoming transition from their traditionally conservative; and to say the least a one sided, winner pool. This brought some light & joy to the viewers at home. Winners of the night included:
“The Handmaiden’s Tale” won for Outstanding Drama Series Sterling K Brown Outstanding Lead Actor in a drama Series “This is Us” Elisabeth Moss won Outstanding Lead Actress in a drama Series “The Handmaiden’s Tale” “VEEP” won Outstanding Comedy Series Donald Glover won Outstanding Director of Comedy series “Atlanta” & Outstanding Lead Actor in a comedy series “Atlanta” Julia Louis-Dreyfus won Outstanding Lead Actress in a comedy series “VEEP” Aziz Ansari and Lena Waithe won Outstanding Writing in a comedy series “Master of None” Nicole Kidman won Outstanding Lead Actress in a limited series “Big Little Lies” Riz Ahmed won Outstanding Actor in a limited series “The Night Of” Although…the true winners of the night were the Hairspirational tresses that bob & weaved ( pardon the easy pun) down the carpet.
